I’ve created a series of optical illusions with created textures and silhouettes of film noir characters. The subtlety and mystery that each image holds relates to the film and character they were sourced from.
I created the textures using: http://www.grsites.com/generate/category/4/. The final images I made on Photoshop

The artists synchronized a camera with a custom-built detonator to snap a photo at the exact moment of explosion. The results are these mysterious blobs of light within domestic settings—a cloud hovering over an everyday lamp, a ghostly shape emerging from underneath a doorframe.
